Dafydd ap Gwilym was the the most preeminent poet of his time, brilliant and absolute essential reading. He was a Ceredigion boy and was familiar with the landscape of the area but the scene at Nant Y Moch- a resevoir created by flooding the valley below would have been totally alien to him.
