One for the Road

This is one of my most popular artworks from my road series. The works are inspired by a lifetime travelling on Wales' ancient, winding, crumbling, dangerous and beautiful roads.

I blame my mother.

She told us in the back of the car to look at the scenery, and that's what I've being doing ever since.

As an artist I find inspiration in the mundane every day and try and expand it through my work to encompass more than what something looks like. I want to incorporate how I feel at that moment, the sense of movement my politics my dreams for my nation, the world and humankind.
